    there should be an option to customize the conversation and background. like you can choose a theme and a background picture for the conversation. is my birthday time and I would love a birthday background for my texts

  3. Smart Reply Auto Send

    It would be nice to have the option to set smart reply to automatically send after selecting one of the suggested replies. Just a little quality of life thing.

  6. Chats grouping

    I receive quite a lot of corporate notifications via SMS. They come from different short numbers. I've grouped those numbers into single contact, but Textra still shows them as different chats. It would be awesome to have some kind of way to group those into single chat.

  7. Delay between bulk texts

    Many Android versions (mine included) will block an app from sending sms texts if it sends too many all at once. That is a problem when I am sending a bulk text to a group from my contacts.

    Please could you add an option to leave a delay / pause after each send in a bulk sms so that the phone doesn't block some of them?

  8. Option to block incoming MMS

    my mobile provider charges me 30p for each MMS that people send me...even a smiley face. wish I could turn off MMS because of that.

  10. Media options

    Add a way to "select all" media items within a conversation in order to save to gallery, etc. Add a setting option to automatically save all received media items to the phone's gallery to reduce app memory space used on older phones with limited internal memory.

    an option to have different colored contacts ONLY in group chats. Example the conversation list & individual conversations are one color but group chat has different colored contacts.

  13. Use volume up/down button as shutter when taking photo

    most other camera apps have this, but within textra i have to click the check icon to take the selfie which screws my up sometimes

  14. Forwarding & Partial Deletion

    1. Please add the ability to directly forward a text. Currently this is only possible via copying message into an email which adds steps & complexity.
    2. Provide the ability to delete certain conversations in a Multi-conversation message so only the more important portions must be kept.

    I have used apps with these very helpful features.

  15. group messages- each person's chat bubble a different color

    it would make it so much more efficient and less confusing if within a group chat, each person could have their own bubble color. it makes it easier to see who said what. it's one of the few things Verizon's message+ app got right

  16. Resize font, out settings menu

    Going into the settings menu to change this is a real pain when you're out in bright sunlight I need to enlarge the font size to see the text.

    Some apps use the volume up and down to increase or decrease the size of the text. others use a pinch to zoom for larger or smaller text.

  17. Multiple options for sorting messages

    Headers for sections would make it much more visually appealing and easier to see how the list of messages are organized. See the Pulse texting app for an example. I love how it has a header for each section and sorts my pinned conversations at the top, followed by the conversations from today, then this week, and finally older conversations. So much easier to find things! Also options to filter or sort by read vs. unread messages. Everyone likes to sort things differently. Give users the option to customize this. But either way, please add headers to organize the list…

  18. contact number at the bottom

    there are persons who use many numbers and it's better if their contact number is shown immeditely at the bottom of the their name when they text so that I can easily know what number they used.

  19. Dual SIM draft bug

    Start a new conversation, choose recipient, type some text, select SIM card 2. Tap the back arrow to exit the conversation and save as draft. Tap on the draft to continue writing the message. The SIM card selection has changed to 1 when it should be 2.

    I would really like the option to add notes to text, so I could keep some things in mind. Like adding notes to bank texts.
