  2. Emailing Forwarded Pictures

    Hello!

    I happened to run in a situation where I wanted to email myself a picture I received in a text message for work purposes.
    I: Highlight the photos, click triple dot icon, share as email, clicked Gmail, and there the email was all set.

    It then doesn't send the actual picture though. It sends:

    Conversation with zelklen (+1-000-000-0000)

    [3/22/17 2:24 PM] zelklen: You received a picture.

    For privacy, and sake of saying it, the number is replaced with Zero's to keep personal information confidential.

    It sends the text notification that the phone would see to notify receiver a picture…

  3. Ability to adjust the space between the text messages / bubbles

    For example, if I want I can make the messages spaced out more or less. They can be practically on top of one another, or spaced out a little more depending on your personal preference

  4. Edit photos before sending

    For instance if you select a photo and want to add some doodle art onto it cirlce specific things add stickers or even filters. Stickers could be emojis based on the emoji you have installed for the app, a color changeable pen that can be adjusted for size and either funny filters or something to make the photo look better, have the option to make copy into gallery or discard edited version after sent, but still shows up under media in settings.

  5. Shorten deletion process

    It should not take 3 gestures to delete a conversation. 1 swipe, then press trash twice. Long press and then delete twice.

    It should be swipe once press delete once.

  6. Can we get a driving mode.

    When your car blu tooth kicks on it identifies you as moving via gps your text automatically shuts off and when u get a text it sends an auto reply that u are driving or unavailable. Whatever u program. Then it allows those texts through once u reach your destination.

  11. Encrypt communications between Textra users using Open Whisper Systems cryptography.

    Open whisper systems is an open source initiative audited by top cryptographers to further the use of cryptography in everyday communications and to better protect our privacy. The technology is even recommended by Edward Snowden.

    Google just launched "allo" which incorporates code from 'signal messenger' which is run by Open Whisper Systems. Despite this I don't exactly trust Google to not share my data, and not many people use signal messenger.

    I think it would be really cool and provide real additional value to the app. Meanwhile it also incentivises more people to use Textra, and more people to stay…

  12. Most Recent Contacts

    Allow users to choose whether to show Favorite Contacts or "Most Recent". It's fairly annoying to have to rely on a contact being a Favorite or typing in their name even if I have just texted them. This is hands-down the feature I miss the most from other apps.

  13. Bug when Do Not Disturb is on

    Notifications still sound when Do Not Disturb for Favorite Contacts is on. Notifications will only disable if Alarms Only Or Ko Interruption is selected for Do Not Disturb.
    I'm using Huawei Mate 9. Please fix.

  14. Allow to write the message first!

    Kindly allow either to enter a recipient number or to write a message, instead of current trend of adding recipient first, followed by composing the message. As there are times when we want to compose a message first, then add recipient numbers.

  15. Spam folder / Spam phrases

    I often receive spam messages coming from different numbers every time so blacklisting specific numbers isn't very helpful. But basically they have common words in them ("condo unit for sale", "bank loan", etc.) so it would really be fantastic if the app can block or store in a spam folder those that contain words that the users do not wish to deal with. It's the one feature in the default android messenger that i love, but that was too slow so i switched to textra.
