Add option to show contact photo/unread badge pane to the left of thread screen
Add an option to have a pane that shows all the messaging threads (basically the contact pictures) you have to the left of the messaging thread you are currently in. Then the user can tap on the different contact icons to switch between the different threads without going back to the full thread list. This was a great feature on Win 10 mobile's messaging app and is sorely missed. when you have a lot of conversations going it saves a lot of time and swipes/back button pressing. Photo resized before sending
long, long overdue... the ability for large photos (file size or pixel sized large) to be reduced to a selected standard before being sent with text.
This rears its head with several iPhone users.
I text a high megapixel photo and they don't receive it.If I reduce it to about 1MB, and resend it, it goes through.

Conversation folders
It would be super nice to have convo folders to separate work and personal, as well as for stuff like automated texts from businesses and such.

SIM Card Messages Management
It would be nice and make Textra app better if it could view or access SIM card messages and manage them by copying, moving, or erasing them.

You keep taking good features off of the app. The plus sign when composing a message used to give you a choice of adding an emoji, taking a pic, or choosing a pic from the gallery. Now it only lets you choose an emoji. Please stop making the app worse.

Per contact privacy.
I don't know if it's possible but I think it would be nice if you could enable privacy settings, like not displaying message context on the lock screen, per contact instead of all contacts sharing the same setting.

Hide Content on Lockscreen
I know this feature is available in my phone settings, but I just want to be able to do it to my messaging app (for security codes that get sent to me). I'd be nice to see the other content notifications and just have this one hid.

Full customization
I feel like if we were able to change anything about how this app looks to our preference would be awesome like for a group chat nicknames, chat bubble colors even make our own chat bubbles in a creator. and maybe have a sharing feature for all the stuff we create if we have the custom stuff

mute duration / expiration
I like thread mute, but I only want to mute for an hour or two.
I would be fine with a global mute duration setting, since I can block a number if I really want to stop someone forever.
why? I mostly use mute to stop busy social group messaging from driving me crazy. however, people reuse the same thread (recipient list) day after day, week after week. I don't want to miss tomorrow's social plans just because I can't handle the spamming beeping right now.

Record audio messages is à very good idea.
However, the audio quality is very low, and this fonction is not exploitable.

priority notification
please add the ability to make the notification priority so that we can have the quick compose notification expanded or allow us to do that.

aw auto away message
I'm going out of the country and won't have service. Everytime I get back I have dozens of messages. It would be nice to have an auto away feature so family and friends won't think I'm ignoring them.

notification for sending myself a sms
I would like to be able to schedule and send myself a SMS message. sort of like a reminder of sorts. I use the scheduled messages all the time to send other messages.

Add messenger, IG, twitter
Would be great to add other social media platforms so everything could be in one place rather than keep having to switch apps. At the moment other apps do this, would be great to see this brought to textra. Please bring social media messages into this app so we can get notified and reply straight from here..
