  1. customizable background themes, changeable pictures for chatlist

    making the chat list background, text background of individual chat and any other you open with Textra customizable by having either theme pictures, making keyboard backgrounds usable in the app background or your own pictures would make this app absolutely perfect for me!

  2. SMS Backups

    we would like a feature to backup SMS on Google drive, so as to retain massages after switching to a new device. instead of having to use another app that insists on being set as the default messaging app.

  3. More reactions please!

    Love that I can react to messages, but five basic options aren't really doing it. Please could we have customizable options from the vast stock of emojis that Textra operates with? I love this app, but this is super behind other options. I've already voted on most of the similar requests but it looks like it's been a couple years with no movement on this issue, despite numerous requests.

  4. Background/Wallpaper

    The only feature this app is missing for my preferences compared to the Verizon messaging app is the ability to set an image as a background. the Verizon messaging app shuts down next month and having that one option would definitely make a lot more for us forced to migrate feel more at home here.

  5. T-Mobile Digits integration

    it would be cool if we got T-Mobike digits integration into the Textra app. I love Textra and hate to have to give it up because it doesn't support my T-Mobile Digits number.

  6. Make Swipe Delete/Call Optional

    Right now, swiping right on a conversation sets us up to delete it, while swiping left causes us to make a phone call. On both counts, these aren't accidents that I'd like to make, so I'd prefer that we have an option in the settings to turn off any effects from swiping on conversations. It's still a neat feature for people who do use it, so I definitely wouldn't ask for it to be removed altogether, though.

    Is there a plan to develop a computer app to see texts while we're on the computer?

  15. Partial text selection in messages

    Many times I need just some partial text from a message and afaik you can only copy the whole message as of now. Pasting the whole message and deleting most of it feels too cumbersome. If you can add this small task to the next iteration it would be great.

  16. recurring texts

    It would be a simple add on to add a reccurring feature to the send later option when scheduling a text. I have a weekly meeting for which I send reminder texts.I have to use a separate texting app to have automated recurring texts.I believe Textra is flexible enough to add that feature. What do you think?

    adding a person to a group message that has already been created. or creating a new conversation with the existing contacts so you can add new people

  18. MMS choose save folder location

    There already is the possibility to automatically save photos in gallery. It would be better if we could choose the save folder location (for example to store on SD card or in chosen album)

    you guys should work on a desktop version, it would put you ahead of the game, something like push bullet, if you had that I'd definitely stick to Textra for life
