  1. Pull down quick reply

    When the message appears above, let us pull down on it to reveal a response box. Awsms has this and it's much better than opening one large quick reply.

  2. Temporarily mute group chats

    Currently you can mute group conversations. However, it would be great if the app would automatically unmute them after a specific period of time, like the Facebook messaging app.

  3. International Date Format

    I know several people who tried this app and dropped it because of date format. Why doesn't it use Android settings for date format like, uh, every other app ever? Can you give me an idea if this will ever happen, otherwise I need to move on.

  4. Search Options

    I feel the follwing should be added to the app:

    1. Better search options, current search gives the latest msg on top this is very inconvenient if I am trying to find my salary credit amount. If I search for 'salary' my salary credits should be shown first starting with the latest credit and then all other msgs with the word salary

    2. Option to search within a conversation or msgs from a particular person

    3. Option to mark important so that it is easier to find like starred in WhatsApp

    Textra bot is very annoying. The option to disable should be given.

    have you considered a security measure for opening the app? such as a pin or a password or fingerprint login. that would be excellent.

  8. Switch the "Liked..." for a thumbs-up

    When someone on an iPhone gives your message a thumbs-up emoji, you get a "Liked (All of whatever you said)" from them. Why?? Just show a thumbs-up!

  9. Recurring text messages

    I love being able to schedule messages as the app does now but it would be extra helpful to be able to schedule a recurring message. For instance, I have a meeting every Friday and I would like to have reminders automatically sent to a group of contacts on Friday morning. I currently have to reschedule it each week. Would it be possible to add a recurring message scheduler to Textra?

    Thank you for finding a way to work with the notoriously unnecessarily difficult to work with others Apple and allow us to see and send reactions back. However, we seem to be missing some like the 😂(we have laughing without tears, but I see both being sent in my group chat) , 😍, 😠, 😲(not sure if right shocked face) and a few others like 😭crying and ☹️sad

  12. customizable background themes, changeable pictures for chatlist

    making the chat list background, text background of individual chat and any other you open with Textra customizable by having either theme pictures, making keyboard backgrounds usable in the app background or your own pictures would make this app absolutely perfect for me!

    we would like a feature to backup SMS on Google drive, so as to retain massages after switching to a new device. instead of having to use another app that insists on being set as the default messaging app.

  14. More reactions please!

    Love that I can react to messages, but five basic options aren't really doing it. Please could we have customizable options from the vast stock of emojis that Textra operates with? I love this app, but this is super behind other options. I've already voted on most of the similar requests but it looks like it's been a couple years with no movement on this issue, despite numerous requests.

  15. Background/Wallpaper

    The only feature this app is missing for my preferences compared to the Verizon messaging app is the ability to set an image as a background. the Verizon messaging app shuts down next month and having that one option would definitely make a lot more for us forced to migrate feel more at home here.

    This is the only way in which Google Messages is better than Textra. It has an archive. Doesn't have to be on by default but it would be greatly appreciated

  17. Block unknown number/no alerts?

    Spam messages piss all of us off so why not an option for only turning on notifications for numbers in your Contacts or an option to put those messages in a separate box? If you can filter by mobile number only, this should be feasible.

  18. Messages on SD card

    Currently my Textra app takes up almost a gigabyte on my phone, and it would be great if some of that could be moved the SD card. Maybe an option to store messages on the SD card instead of internal storage.

  19. Quarantine deleted messages

    I have just accidentally deleted a whole thread of messages to someone! It would be great if they went into Quarantine for a period of time before being permanently deleted so you can re-instate accidental deletes.
