   We wish we could! Google are the only ones that can do RCS at the moment. Until they provide the RCS interfaces on Android for everyone.

   It is definitely possible for third party developers to do this, there are other apps on the Play store that support this. Please add RCS support!

    There are a number of very good apps that focus specifically on backup and restore of messages. We recommend and use SMS Backup & Restore.

    No point us re-inventing the wheel and losing focus on the core aspects of Textra.
