  6. RCS in Textra

    Not sure if this is a network side issue, since some companies try to force users to use their own app with RCS, but if possible please implement rich communication services (RCS) in Textra as that would allow higher quality photos, videos, and files to be sent as well as read receipts and an overall smoother messaging experience. Google and all carriers are pushing for RCS to compete with Apple iMessage so we might as well embrace the future now!

    I can no longer see group chats from others who have apps that have updated to use RCS.... this has been ongoing for a week now.

    Putting Textra on the shelf until RCS is available. I hate to do it, as I've been a pro user for years.

    Having been using textra for so many years, thanks to being at the forefront of developments, (if you asked me textra has always been robustly ahead of the competition), it is a major let down that RCS is not supported. Good bye textra, nice knowing you x

    Google messages is trying to compete and level the massaging field with iPhone users. Textra is already ahead of the curve by matching emojis and showing iPhone reactions on messages. Let's take it a step further with RCS support so we can send full quality pictures and videos!

    I think the only lacking feature in this app is the RCS feature...if that was included this app would have absolutely everything that an Android user needs from customization to privacy and of course RCS. please highly consider! I have been a user for many many years now and would love to see this implemented!

  13. RCS Support, please!

    I've been a loyal Textra user for years. I've bragged to my friends about you and your delayed-send feature, which has saved me from stupid errors and looking goofy!

    I had no idea that your app just ignores RCS messages without telling me! After missing important messages from RCS users, I'm about to switch to Pulse. Not as good as you, but it handles RCS and has an Undo feature.

    I would really appreciate it if you could add support for RCS messaging. Please let me know when you do so I can come come to Textra! THANKS

  15. RCS Advanced Messaging info

    I have picked up a new smartphone and installed Textra and made it the default app. I thought I was getting messages until I saw a notification show up and was like huh. why didn't that show in Textra. saw in your help about messages not showing and why you thought. I think your thinking is wrong and you should incorporate RCS in your Textra. thus is why and may help explain the RCS Advanced messaging on the newer phones.   16. RCS feature

    RCS helps messaging between users easier by seeing if the recipient is currently typing, can react to different message bubbles better with different emojies, can pick a message bubble to specifically on, and can send images better without the use of MMS and just simply by being connected to mobile data or the internet.

  20. RCS & End to end encryption

    Would be awesome if Textra team could implement RCS and get the same features on apps that support RCS like Google messenger while texting.

    End to end encryption would definitely be great for Textra users. Kinda like the signal app or IMessage where texting is secure when users are using the same app but unencrypted when they're not.

    Maybe with RCS technology broadening the boundaries of sms/mms maybe there could be a way to encrypt the messages through that. That way encryption could also be supported with users who have RCS and not just by using the same app.
